cruisin’ with hook+Albert. after recently enjoying a second viewing of the seriously underrated LORDS OF DOGTOWN, we decided to re-imagine the z-boys from a  h+A point of view. part of what is so refreshing about the venice beach skaters’ style is it’s careless confidence. while countless brands have tried to market effortlessly cool skater apparel, few have done it with quite the authenticity of a 15 year old kid who just can’t wait to hit the pavement. it’s important to note that while onlookers may view skater gear as a fashionable, skaters only wear clothes as a cushion for scrapes. to master skater “fashion,” one must obliterate the notion that theres anything intentionally fashionable going on. in a sense: live life out of your laundry basket+don’t second guess it.  sometimes as dapper-men, (yes, that’s what we’re calling ourselves) we over-think it all. we attempt to emulate  the current trends in men’s magazines and master the art of easy. we can’t. if the z-boys can teach us anything, it’s that nothing is as important as the board. or whatever it is that gets you out of the house. we’re not asking you to abandon all your dandy-habits, just mix them up. worn in jeans+a white t will do. you can keep your h+a socks, just forget to match them up.  get your own pair of these socks. $30.00.
